"Reality" TV

If I was given the opportunity to be on ANY reality show I'd have no idea what to pick. I used to watch Figure it Out all the time. It was hilarious; slime, guessing, and random hobbies. I kind of like Endurance and Survivor. American Idol is disastrous this year! My dad was once on the Jay Leno show. Do any of these can't as reality TV?

You're probably wondering about the Jay Leno thing. It was a bit after 9/11 when my parents were going to California. It was one of those times when people like cops and my dad was still a cop then. In line at the show he filled out this thing talking about his talents, job, etc. During one of those things when Jay Leno is going through the audience to look for hidden talents or something he went up to my dad. They talked in front of the camera. His talent was sticking money up his nose...lots of it. The other day when he was selling a policy(C. Brandon Price Farmers auto, home, life, business 107 South 1470 East, Suite 201 St. George, UT 84790 435-272-7751 cprice@farmersagent.com) the customer recognized him as "the Jay Leno cop!"

People are always saying my parents could win the Amazing Race. My mom once said if couples Survivor ever came up she and my uncle would definitely win, I think she's right. I've been on the news before, so has my dad and briefly a photo of my brother.Unless it was something I;m sure I could do well at, I don't want to be on reality television. GTG. Bye.

SCHOOL'S OUT, LET'S ROCK N' ROLL

For me, spring break will officially begin at about 3:40 pm Friday, March 5, 2010. On March 6, I'll help clean my ward's church building and play basketball after. Later, I'll go to my second orthodontist appointment in St. George. On Sunday I'll be sustained and set apart as secretary to the Miamaid presidency of the Green Valley 1st ward in St. George, Utah, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Pretty cool, huh?

In all my time as a young woman I've always been the second counselor. I technically would've been President, but all the meetings conflicted with more important stuff. So I got a friend that job, but stayed involved. I'm still pretty new here, so it's nice to know that someone thinks I'm up to the job.

The rest of my spring break will be spent hiking, playing, shooting, running, excersizing, etc. During the summer I'll be hiking through Havasupai; backpacking, swimming, etc. I'll need to be fit (and to have my toes and finger fixed, there's something wrong with them).

Ya' know that play I was talking about? Wait, that was the other blog. Well, I'm in a play. Friday was our first real performance. Today is the final. On the announcements they showed a clip.
It made our play look like &387#@*. Plus it was cast a...meaning me, not the other "Tina".

I'm supposed to type three paragraphs, but I can't think of anything!
How about a poem? Wait, why can't I use my school blog and my normal blog. I kinda' like the separation, but it's annoying. I really feel like singing songs from "Lord of the Rings" the musical. My two favorites, right now, are "the Road Goes on" and "Hope". Wow, this is random writing.

Huh, my other blog is called Random Riting. It's spelled wrong on purpose. Lately all my poetry sucks. I like it, but it sounds like Star Wars or Tolkien. No one else would get it. I get that problem a lot with...well with everything. Have you ever felt like you lived in a world different from everybody else's? A world with your own stuff? Your thoughts aren't scoffed at there?

Man, look at me. I'm turning into a Gandalf/Bilbo hybrid.

I Hate Being Sick

Alright, I'm supposed to write about my weekend. Well, on Saturday my parents actually believed I was really sick. I was; I couldn't believe they didn't think I was faking. So, I just was in bed, watching movies, and doing homework. I watched Lord of the Rings (and reread it), Bedtime Stories, Forever Strong (!!!!!!), and Lord of the Rings special features.

Did you know that for LOTR all the weaponry and armor was hand made. Almost everything in the movie was. They paid a lot attention to detail. Mot to mention they filmed all three movies nonstop. I liked hearing about making Hobbiton in the Shire. They got permission to use a farm, built some hobbit holes, raised vegetables for about a year, and filmed the shire at Bag End.

My current favorite movie is Forever Strong. Larry Gelwix is one of my heroes; this movie is about his rugby team at the same high school my grandfather went to. I especially love the scenes where they do the Haka. Listening to the "Gelwixisms", man, I love that guy. Because I was sick I couldn't listen to him speak Sunday night. Sigh I hate being sick.

O.K. So I know that Haiti's been hit pretty badly. I know everyone's freaked out, but bad stuff happens all the time. You'd think we'd help everyone, not just Haiti. Does our current president even care about the situation in Darfur? I mean wake up world!

It's great that everyone is helping Haiti, but do we really need something like that to enlighten us? Did Bush go to war just to put his name in the history books? Did Obama run just to get in the U.S. Government quiz in class? Come on, People! Why can't we think about the other side of the world and our side!? Why this, why that? Seems like everybody needs to WAKE UP!

I don't mean to dis the government or seem inconsiderate of Haiti, I just want to get other world-turning points some attention too. Apartheid, genocides, civil wars, what about the problems we humans caused? Mother Nature can be dangerous, but I think we're the real enemies.

Superbowl Weekend..."Much Ado About Nothing"

What? Already?
Alright, so I'm at school just enjoying a Real Salt Lake assembly thing that's going to be on Channel 2. Then in keyboarding, on the white board is SUPERBOWL WEEKEND!!!!!!! underlined. I'm, like, in shock right now. I don't watch football, but with the recent move my dad's behind also. I have no idea who's even playing!
I don't even watch the commercials very often. The only thing I like is all the food at dinnertime, junk food before dinner, and dessert after. Sort of, needs more chips, less dip. On Sunday I'm just going to church, do homework, bla, bla, bla. Unless this bishop ALSO cancels everything except Sacrament for gametime.
Personally, I like baseball more, hockey the best, Olympics always, archery and martial arts always racing for number one. I just don't like football. Rugby I can stand. Ya' know... now that I think about it the commercials aren't even that funny or good. I don't walk away dying to get a so-and-so or a what-a-ma-call-it. Seriously...why the hubbub.

Ninjas & B-Days & Cake, Oh My!

The weirdest dream I've ever had?! Now there's a tough warm up. Now, let's see. Mutating, monsters, ninjas... so many. Ah-ha! The infamous ninja b-day party! Now there's a story. It was a calm and peaceful night... or so it seemed. Suddenly a shadow flew by. Then another and another. The silhouettes leaped from rooftop to rooftop, street lamp to flag pole. The two figures stopped at an abandoned warehouse. The taller of the two pulled off her mask. She was... me?

It's pretty weird watching yourself, especially an older version of myself. She, I started to say something. I leaned closer to hear. " Are you sure the F.D. is having a meeting here?" Somehow I knew the "F.D." was the mercenary hero group the Fighting Dreamers. The other ninja pulled off her mask, revealing an unfamiliar face. She replied, "Kass, I know we usually meet at the Katlan Palace, but some thing's come up." Kass just stared at the other gal. Eventually she commented, "I said no surprise parties, Vick." "Come on!"

The two kuinoichi , female ninjas, and the fox coming with them went through a dark, hidden tunnel. They entered a brightly lit chamber with streamers, balloons, paper lanterns, a desert table, the works! Despite her, my, unwillingness I couldn't help but smile. A bit. On the table was a small, round, purple cake with a black smile and eyes. Scattered around the room were 9 other ninjas, superheroes, etc. All of them were clapping and cheering. I recognized all of them as people I had drawn; my creations, better than they had ever looked on paper. When I woke up I got a sketch pad and notebook and started on an illustrated book. I'm still working on it and it's nowhere near as cheesy as my dream was. It may never get published, but a girl can dream right?

Foggy With a Chance of Meatballs

I woke up in the morning, it was a 1/2 hour to Seven. As soon as it's light I look outside to see what? Fog! Have I mentioned how much I love fog?! I have great memories concerning school, a huge field, cloaks, flashlights, and fog. We were young, we could play Wizard War without worrying about peer pressure.

When getting off the bus into a cloud I automatically said," Did we get off at Sky High?" The school announcements made a Twilight joke. It looked pretty awesome with the dark figures in the gray mist. (insert evil chuckle here)

Color

It now has color.

My First Post On This Blog

My family has enjoyed blogging for a few years now. This is the third blog, second that's active, that I've created. It has been created for my keyboarding class. I would've preferred to use Random Riting, my other blog.
Personally, compared to Facebook and Myspace, blogging is the best form of internet communication. It's more like journaling than e-mail. Now, I'm going to add some color. White's pretty bland and common.
